Hotel Gold Lion operates at Strada Actor Chiril Știrbu 15, in the Mălina Mare neighbourhood of Chișinău's Centru sector, in a residential area on the south-western edge of the city. It combines hotel rooms with a leisure area — sauna, pool and spa spaces — used both by overnight guests and by visitors who come in for a short session. Bookings are taken by phone: the hotel lists no website and no official social media pages, so details about rooms, facilities and availability have to be requested at reception.

Reported experiences are mostly negative. The motif that recurs most often in reviews is hygiene: guests describe the sauna and pool area as dirty, the pool water as murky, and the furniture, showers and doors as damaged or out of order. The second constant complaint concerns the staff — visitors write about dismissive replies and about no response at all to their complaints. Insects in the common areas are also reported.
