Linella
Supermarkets in Centre, Chișinău
The Linella supermarket at bd. Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt 6/1 is a small store in the Centru sector, at the start of the city's main boulevard. There is a currency exchange desk inside.
Linella is a Moldovan grocery chain operating since 2001, with hypermarkets, supermarkets and neighbourhood stores in every sector of Chișinău and in many towns across the country. It stocks everyday essentials: fruit and vegetables, meat, dairy, bread, dry groceries, drinks and wine, household and personal care products. The chain has an online store at linella.md with home delivery, and regular shoppers can use the Linella card and app.
Google ratings are above average. Shoppers note the convenient location and good prices on popular items. Recurring complaints are slow tills and queues, narrow aisles and cleanliness, and expired products on display.

The security guard is not a qualified specialist. Due to my dissatisfaction, as a result of his actions, it was not possible to legally purchase food products that were freely available on the shelves. They were restricted in their freedom of movement to enter the premises, although there were still 10 minutes before closing time. I ask that you review the complaint and take action against the security guard who worked the shift on September 16, 2026.

I was there twice and both times the staff was kind of unfriendly- which I as a German use to and usually not complain about - but when I asked questions in English or tried with my few words on Russian they were really rude - except of the lady behind the counter for cheese and meat. If they don’t sell alcohol or if that might be countries policy after a certain hour there should be a clear sign indicating that instead of ripping the bottle out of my hand. Barely have seen that attitude somewhere in a supermarket.

Narrow aisles. Often not clean. Check-out is always slow.
