Ovisus is a private eye-surgery centre at 22\/2 Ion Creang\u0103 Street in the Buiucani district, by the \u0218tefan Neaga stop. Founded in 1999, it calls itself Moldova's first private ophthalmic surgery clinic; the team includes professors and habilitated doctors, and the clinic has its own inpatient ward and a medical optics shop.<\/p>\n

It treats cataract (with lens implants, including toric and multifocal), glaucoma, myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism, inflammatory eye diseases, diabetic retinopathy and eye injuries, and performs vitreoretinal surgery, corneal transplants and strabismus correction. Children are seen in a separate room with preventive check-ups from birth to sixteen and a playroom. Equipment comes from Alcon, Zeiss, Leica and Topcon. Appointments are made by phone or online.<\/p>\n

Patient opinions are divided. Surgeons are praised by name for cataract operations and post-operative explanations, and the optometrists for vision correction; however, several recent reviews complain of long delays past the appointment time and of reception giving no clear answer about surgery costs.
