It keeps the taxpayer register, collects taxes, carries out tax audits and develops the electronic tax services used by individuals and businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The headquarters handles petitions, appeals and policy-level questions, while its call centre gives tax advice over the phone. Everyday tasks such as tax returns, patents and certificates on tax arrears are normally handled at the district tax offices in each sector or online, through the personal taxpayer account and SFS e-services, which also cover paying taxes and redirecting a share of income tax to a non-profit.<\/p>\n<p>The head office is at 9 Constantin T\u0103nase Street in the Centru sector.
