The National Agency for Public Health (ANSP) operates under the Ministry of Health and is responsible for public health surveillance: prevention and control of communicable diseases, immunisation, state sanitary supervision and the national reference laboratories.

Businesses and institutions usually deal with ANSP through its one-stop desk to obtain sanitary operating permits, sanitary approvals and laboratory services such as testing of water, food or environmental factors. Residents can get information on vaccination and disease prevention and report breaches of sanitary rules, including through the green line.
