Consulatul onorific al Mexicului

The Honorary Consulate of Mexico in Chisinau is headed by an honorary consul rather than a career diplomat. Mexico has no embassy in Moldova: according to the Moldovan Foreign Ministry's diplomatic list, Moldova is covered by the Mexican Embassy in Athens, which also has a consular section.

An honorary consul's role is limited: information, assistance and liaison with the embassy for Mexican citizens in Moldova, plus support for business and cultural contacts. Passports, visas and most official documents are handled by the embassy in Athens or the Mexican consular system, so contact the embassy first if you need to renew a passport.

The consulate is located at 70 Alexei Mateevici Street in the Buiucani district. Phone: +373 22 234 247, email: [email protected]. Write or call before visiting to find out whether your question can be handled here or only at the embassy.
