Centrul Medicilor de Familie nr. 5 at 1 Ion Luca Caragiale Street in the Buiucani district is the primary-care unit of the Buiucani Territorial Medical Association, opened in 1997 as Polyclinic No. 5; Google also lists it as „Sfânta Maria”, a name the official website does not use. The association's headquarters and Consultative-Diagnostic Centre are across the street at number 2. It is open on weekdays until the evening and on Saturdays.
The centre has two family-medicine sections with doctors and nurses by sector and hosts the association's „chronic patient school” with sessions on hypertension and diabetes. Registration with a family doctor is by home address; services are provided under CNAM insurance, and booking is at the reception or online via SIA AMP. Specialist consultations and investigations require a referral to the consultative centre next door.
