Municipal Children’s Clinicl Infectious Diseases Hospital
Clinics & Hospitals in Telecentre, Chișinău
Spitalul Clinic Municipal de Boli Contagioase de Copii (IMSP SCMBCC) at 49 Mihail Lomonosov Street in the Telecentru district is Chișinău's children's infectious-diseases hospital, founded in 1971 and working in round-the-clock emergency mode. It admits children from the city and suburbs with infections, and severe cases of viral hepatitis, salmonellosis and dysentery from the districts.
The hospital has one hundred beds in four wards, intensive care, an emergency department, a laboratory, an X-ray room and physiotherapy; since 1975 it has been the university clinic of the paediatric infectious-diseases department. There is no outpatient reception: children come straight to the emergency department, by ambulance or brought by parents, where they are triaged and admitted; services are provided under CNAM insurance, and the rules for parents in the emergency department, intensive care and during visits are published on the website.
Parents' opinions are good, above average for public hospitals: recent reviews praise the renovated wards, cleanliness, new equipment and the empathetic attitude towards children and parents; critical remarks are few and concern the first contact on admission.
