Kaufland Codru is the German chain’s hypermarket at 31 Haiducilor Street, at the entrance to the town of Codru. The range covers fresh food, a meat and cheese counter, bread baked on site, drinks, household chemicals, textiles and homeware. Alongside the usual brands you will find the chain’s own labels – K-Classic, K-Bio, K-take it veggie, PARKSIDE, CRIVIT – generally cheaper than the branded equivalents.

The store has its own car park, charging points for electric cars and reverse vending machines for packaging. The Kaufland Card XTRA loyalty card and the mobile app give access to coupons and weekly discounts.

Customers rate the store positively: reviews repeatedly mention the spacious layout, cleanliness, well stocked shelves and the freshness of the fruit and vegetables. Two complaints recur and are worth knowing: the self-checkout tills throw errors fairly often, and the car park fills up at peak times to the point where cars end up double parked.
