Oculus Prim is an ophthalmology centre at 108/1 Alexandru cel Bun Street in the Râșcani district, with a second location at 12/7 Ginta Latină Street in Ciocana. It offers full diagnostics – visual acuity, refractometry, tonometry, perimetry, visual electrophysiology – laser treatment of the retina, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma, cross-linking for keratoconus, minor procedures such as pterygium or chalazion removal, dry-eye treatment, myopia control in children, orthokeratology and scleral lenses; there is an optics department and a gastroenterology room, including for children. The team includes several doctors of medical science and optometrists trained in Norway.
Ratings are above average, but opinions differ: doctors are considered competent and children are treated with care; complaints, however, keep returning to waits of over an hour despite an appointment and prepaid consultation.
