Pecos Auto SRL in the commune of Bubuieci, on the eastern edge of the Chișinău municipality, is a tuning and vehicle-customisation atelier; it has carried this name since 2007, and the team worked together for years before that.
Its main line is minibus refitting — laying out the interior for passenger transport or for special use — and interior customisation: upholstery, cabin lighting, audio and video systems. Body and paint work is also done: full or panel respraying, surface levelling, fitting bumpers and spoilers, and individual jobs to order. The company employs several dozen people.
Customer opinions are mostly good: the interior conversions, the creative approach and the seriousness of the team are praised. There is also a complaint about the final cost exceeding the figure quoted at the start, and about how long the paint lasted — reason enough to ask for the quote in writing and to check the warranty terms.
