Artphoto Moldova
Photo & video services in Centre, Chișinău
Artphoto Moldova, at 4/3 Constantin Negruzzi Boulevard in the Centru district, covers two kinds of work: on-the-spot ID photos and printed photo products. Its website, artfoto.md, puts photo books first — softcover, hardcover or the Trio format, with layout design on request — followed by calendars of every sort, from wall and desk versions to pocket and magnetic ones.
The service list also takes in photo cards, collages, posters, restoration of old pictures, video digitisation, scanning and lamination, plus business cards, flyers and diplomas. Photo books and calendars can be put together online in a personal account before they go to print.
Feedback on Google is very positive. One parent brought the children in for biometric photos and describes a warm welcome; another customer thanks the studio for bringing an old print back to life. One visitor is less impressed and calls it an ordinary studio, nothing more.
You can reach the studio on +373 690 40 484 or at [email protected]; the full product range is on artfoto.md.

Even though we previously did photos at Artphoto Moldova and recommended this studio to others, this time around it was just not the same. We had to take photos with specific requirements for our visas. The photographer did not even look at the conditions, despite the fact that we printed and translated them for him. The photos were of an awful quality - the lighting was obviously uneven and the image itself was not centered. When we raised a question why is that, the photographer said "Come on! These are just photos for visas, no one cares!". Also, keep in mind that if you come to the atelier at the opening, you will have to wait 20-30 minutes until they heat up the printing machine (for some reason they do not do that BEFORE opening). In the end, we retook photos in another atelier with an incomparable quality and price.

I really recommend this place for your passport or any other type of pictures! Had to do passport picture for a 10 days newborn baby, the guy really knew what he was doing and made it a good experience for us!
