Moldova Innovation Fund offers grants of up to 40,000 euros to tech start-ups
Moldova Innovation Fund, worth over 1 million euros, was launched on 30 September during Moldova Business Week to provide non-repayable funding to early-stage local tech start-ups. Projects at the idea stage can receive up to 20,000 euros, and early-stage companies up to 40,000 euros.
The fund is managed by Moldova Innovation Technology Park (MITP) with support from Expertise France under the EU4Innovation East programme, funded by the European Union and France. Four calls are planned over two years. The money can be used for prototypes and minimum viable products, market testing, hiring specialists, materials and components, small-batch production and lab testing.
Priority areas: artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, GovTech, agritech, medtech, clean tech, robotics, the Internet of Things, hardware and deep tech.
