French citizens come here to register as French nationals living abroad, for civil status records, identity documents, certificates, copies and legalisation, and for help in difficult situations; some documents are processed together with the French consulate in Bucharest. Moldovans contact the embassy about visas for France, studying, working or investing in France; visa applications follow the procedure on the official France-Visas portal.

Dealing with the secretary in the visa department is nothing short of exasperating. Her unwarranted arrogance and rudeness add unnecessary layers of stress to an already daunting visa application process. It feels as though she holds the keys to an entire nation, deciding the fate of hopeful applicants with a dismissive attitude. Such a role demands compassion and professionalism, which, sadly, she seems to lack, making this bureaucratic ordeal all the more disheartening.

Je suis un citoyen français qui s'est vu refuser l'entrée en Moldavie à cause d'un visa touristique russe dans mon passeport. J'ai contacté l'ambassade de France en Moldavie, mais je n'ai reçu aucune aide. On m'a dit que tout État a le droit de refuser arbitrairement l'entrée à quiconque. Je me demande à quoi servent des diplomates français qui ne sont même pas capables de protéger les intérêts des citoyens français à l'étranger. Je veux désespérément renoncer à ma nationalité française et jeter mon passeport à la poubelle.
