VIANOVA is the first private centre in the Republic of Moldova dedicated to diagnosing and treating sleep disorders and sleep-related breathing disorders. Snoring, obstructive sleep apnea and its complications are treated conservatively, without surgery, and in complex cases the doctors consult a sleep laboratory of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in New York.
The first step is a consultation with a sleep specialist, who reviews the symptoms and chooses the right test. For diagnosis the centre offers cardiorespiratory monitoring during sleep (breathing, pulse and blood oxygen saturation), at home or in the lab, as well as full polysomnography: a comfortable night at the centre with EEG, ECG, breathing and movement recording plus video monitoring. The procedure is painless and non-invasive.
The main treatment for sleep apnea is CPAP therapy. At VIANOVA patients can try it under a doctor’s supervision, and the specialist helps choose and set up a CPAP, BPAP or ViPAP device and the right mask.
The centre is in the Centru district at 45 Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni Street, a few minutes’ walk from the Great National Assembly Square and the National Opera and Ballet Theatre. The nearest stop, “Strada Columna”, is about 80 m away — trolleybuses 7, 10, 11, 12, 16, 25, 29, 32 and buses 5, 26.
