Dispensarul Municipal Dermato-Venerologic

Dispensarul Municipal Dermato-Venerologic (IMSP DMDV) at 47 Columna Street in the Centru district is Chișinău's municipal dermatology and venereology institution, founded in 1944. It provides outpatient care for adults and children on weekdays and Saturday mornings.

Skin diseases and sexually transmitted infections are consulted and treated here, with dermatoscopy, cryotherapy and electrocautery of benign lesions, and serological and bacteriological tests in its own laboratories. The same institution runs the medical board for drivers, and its medical-check unit at 47 Ismail Street issues paid certificates for catering and preschool employees. Insured patients come with a family-doctor referral; doctors work in two shifts, and booking is at the reception.

Patient opinions are mostly negative: complaints concern very short paid consultations, the attitude of some doctors, the state of the building and old equipment. A few reviews appreciate the low prices and correctly prescribed treatment.
