MagnaMed

MagnaMed (Centrul Medical MagnaMed) is a private MRI diagnostic centre at 3 Academician Natalia Gheorghiu Street in the Centru district, next to the children's hospital; it has operated since 2010 and has a branch in Briceni. It is strictly an MRI centre, without consultation rooms.

The centre runs two scanners: a closed 1.5-tesla Philips Ingenia Ambition and an open Hitachi Airis Elite for claustrophobic patients and children, with anaesthesia when needed. Scans cover the brain, spine, joints, skeleton and soft tissues, internal organs and breasts, including with contrast. CNAM insurance with a referral and private policies are accepted; DICOM images and the report are delivered online. Open weekdays only; parking is available.

Clients are generally satisfied: reviews praise the organisation, respect for patients and thorough scans; one negative review describes a traumatic experience during a child's examination.
