Novamed

Novamed (Spitalul Polivalent Novamed) is a private hospital at 30 Tudor Strișcă Street in the Centru district towards Telecentru; the network has a second hospital in Bălți. It is one of the few private institutions in the city with a full cycle: polyclinic, surgery centre with a round-the-clock anaesthesia and intensive-care unit, maternity ward and its own clinical laboratory.

The polyclinic covers over forty fields, from cardiology, neurology and gastroenterology with endoscopy to ENT, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, paediatrics, haematology, mammology and nephrology, with an imaging department. The surgical centre performs classical and laparoscopic, cardiac, gynaecological, ENT, orthopaedic, urological and eye surgery and neurosurgery; interventional cardiology also treats children. The hospital is accredited, and booking is online or by phone. Unfortunately the website does not publish hours or an e-mail.

Patient opinions are divided: surgeons and cardiologists are praised by name, along with attentive guidance and the ward atmosphere, and some call it the best hospital they have been to; however, there are also formal complaints addressed to management and criticism of organisation.
