Ambasada Italiei
Embassies and consulates in Centru
The Italian Embassy in Chisinau represents the Italian Republic in Moldova and handles political, economic and cultural relations. Italy is one of the main destinations for Moldovans working abroad, so the embassy's consular work is in high demand.
The consular section at the same address issues visas for Italy, including family reunification, work and study visas, and serves Italian citizens with passports, civil registration and documents for their relatives. Family members of EU citizens also apply here. Most services require a prior appointment and documents are submitted in person.
The embassy is located at 63 Vlaicu Pârcălab Street in the Centru district, close to the historic centre. Phone: +373 22 266 720, email: [email protected], consular matters: [email protected]. Check the document lists and booking procedure on the embassy's official website.

The lady who received our document, blonde and has long hair sitting next to window is such an helpful, kind, and solution oriented person. Thanks for having her to represent a country which is known by their hospitality.

This is by far the worst embassy experience I have ever had in my life. The staff were unbelievably unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. They caused me so much stress that I had a full nervous breakdown. They refused to even look at my documents for a visa application, let alone accept them, and instead sent me away like an idiot telling me to “come back on the 25th.” When I asked where it’s stated that I can only apply after the 25th, they admitted it’s written nowhere. Later, they even claimed that after the 25th my documents still wouldn’t be accepted, giving me absurd, baseless, and completely false explanations. There is no transparency, no consistency, and no basic human decency. This place is a disgrace and a shame to Italy’s reputation. If you value your time, mental health, and dignity, avoid this embassy at all costs.

One of the worst embassys I have ever been to in my life, I always apply to other countries visas and have never been treated like this. Racist and unprofessional. I proved all my documents, it will not stop them from being unprofessional.
