From a tourist's perspective, this is most definitely a sub-par place to visit. The staff were very rigid, and not particularly welcoming. The showering area had a total of 2/6 functioning showers, a nasty toilet, as well as a pretty dingy locker room. The pool area was slightly depressing, pretty dirty, and not well maintained. The visibility in the pool was close to none. Overall, it was more interesting as a soviet relic, than anything else. The pool is about 25m long, and, at it's deepest about 1.85m . When we visited it had a mere 5 lanes which were pretty much filled up. In addition there was swimming practice that was occupying 2 of the lanes, which meant we had to wait 30 min before we could get in the pool. Of course, they do not tell you this at the reception. If you're interested in a nice day at the pool I would recommend the Hotel Royal Florence swimming pool, It's very lively and the staff are super pleasant. (P.S: However, if you do decide to visit the university pool, bring some slippers as it's mandatory and the staff are very strict about that.)

For almost a decade the shape of this water pool has only worsened, with no apparent reinvestments for many years. Firstly, the male and female locker rooms are not properly separared – no doors that obstruct the view into where people change. The shower room is in bad shape, the water taps are old and the walls are brown here and there, reflecting poor maintenance. Most important, however, is the water contamination – several extraneous particles can be easily spotted in the water, making you wonder how safe it is to swim there. For an ordinary citizen, this water pool is below the average market offer.
