Ministries and central authorities in Buiucani
Moldova's Ministry of Culture sets state policy for the arts, cultural heritage and the media. It oversees the theatres, concert organisations, museums and public libraries under it, protects historic monuments as well as archaeological and intangible heritage, and supports the film industry.
Artists, cultural organisations and media outlets turn to the ministry for funding schemes such as Moldova Creativa and the Cultural Voucher, the media subsidy fund and merit allowances. It also issues permits for the movement of cultural goods — for example when taking works of art out of the country — and provides information on works affecting listed monuments.
