Wheels Lab on Pietrăriei Street in the Ciocana district is a workshop specialising in wheel repair and restoration — a narrow field in which few workshops in the city work to a serious standard.

It straightens rims deformed by potholes, welds cracks in aluminium by argon welding, restores chipped edges, refinishes surfaces and balances the wheel after repair. The usual alternative — buying a new rim, especially in large sizes or original designs — costs several times more, which makes this kind of work particularly worthwhile. Tyre fitting is handled too.
