Petrol falls to 33.53 lei, diesel rises to 35.22 lei for the weekend
33.53 lei — the maximum price of a litre of COR 95 petrol from 17 to 19 October, set by ANRE, the energy regulator. Petrol gets 20 bani cheaper and drops below the 34-lei mark.
Diesel moves the other way: it rises by 2 bani to 35.22 lei per litre. The gap between the two fuels widens to 1.69 lei per litre, with petrol the cheaper option. These are price caps: filling stations may sell for less, but not for more.
What it means for you
- Petrol car owners save a little this weekend — about 10 lei on a 50-litre tank.
- Hauliers and farmers, who mostly run on diesel, see no relief: the price per litre is practically unchanged.
- Companies with large fleets can follow ANRE announcements to plan refuelling.
