Modus Vivendi (Centrul Medical de Diagnostic „Modus Vivendi”) is a private laboratory diagnostic centre at 80 Burebista Street in the Botanica district, operating since 1997, one of the oldest private laboratories in the city. It has seven laboratories, around twenty specialists, accreditation and a CNAM contract.
It performs haematology, biochemistry, immunology and hormone tests, molecular biology (PCR), diagnostics of infections, parasitic and sexually transmitted diseases, tumour markers, prenatal screening, spermogram, cytology and microbiology with antibiograms, plus ultrasound, Doppler and echocardiography. Results are available online and booking is via the website; trolleybuses 4, 22, 28, 30 and 38 stop nearby.
Client opinions are divided: the nurses who take samples, especially from children, reception and fast tests are praised; complaints concern waiting over an hour past the booked time, attitude at sampling and a disputed ultrasound. The centre is on Facebook.
