Inspectoratul Național de Probațiune
Courts and prosecution in Centru
The National Probation Inspectorate is the agency under the Ministry of Justice that runs Moldova's probation system. Through its local probation offices it supervises people given suspended sentences, released on parole or sentenced to unpaid community work, and supports their return to society.
The people who come here are mostly those placed under probation by a court: this is where they register, attend regular meetings with a probation officer and take part in rehabilitation programmes. At the request of a court or prosecutor the Inspectorate prepares pre-sentence assessment reports, and it also handles electronic monitoring. Family members and employers can get explanations about the obligations imposed.
The head office is at 1 Vasile Alecsandri Street in the Centru district. Phone: +373 22 280 978, email: [email protected]. Addresses of local offices and news are published on probatiune.gov.md and on the Inspectorate's Facebook and Instagram pages.
