The Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organised Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS) is a specialised prosecution office with nationwide jurisdiction. It leads investigations into organised crime, terrorism, human trafficking, drug and arms trafficking, money laundering and other especially serious offences.
It is not a local prosecution office, so everyday complaints are not filed here: those go to the territorial prosecutor's office or the police. PCCOCS deals with victims, witnesses and lawyers involved in the cases it handles, and with anyone holding information about organised criminal groups or offences within its remit.
