Local producer fairs in Chisinau on 17–18 October: where to go
Six fairs of Moldovan-made products will take place across Chisinau’s districts over the weekend of 17–18 October, Chisinau City Hall has announced. The aim is to support local producers and let residents buy seasonal farm produce.
- Botanica, 16–18 October — Valea Trandafirilor park, central alley: “Toamna savuroasă” fair (Perspectiva association).
- Buiucani, 17 October — 202 Ștefan cel Mare Blvd, next to the Kentford building: EcoLocal fair with local food and non-food goods.
- Buiucani, 17–18 October — 103 Ștefan cel Mare Blvd, near the Patria Lotianu cinema: Yard Sale with craftspeople and local producers (Yard Platform association).
- Ciocana, 16–18 October — Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd at Petru Zadnipru St, central alley: “Tîrgul cu Tradiții” (Perspectiva association).
- Rîșcani, 17–18 October — 13/1 Miron Costin St, by the public garden: local producers’ fair (Eurocivis Association of Women in Agriculture and Tourism).
- Rîșcani, until 22 October — 21 Moscova Blvd, opposite 6 Matei Basarab St: fruit and vegetable fair.
What it means for you
- Shoppers can buy fruit, vegetables and seasonal products directly from producers, with no middlemen.
- For farmers and craftspeople it is a sales channel — contact the organisers to take part in future editions.
- Opening hours have not been announced, so it is best to go in the first half of the day.
