Dispensarul Republican de Narcologie
Clinics & Hospitals in Râșcani, Chișinău
Dispensarul Republican de Narcologie (IMSP DRN) at 32 Petru Rareș Street in the Râșcani district is the outpatient unit of the national addiction-medicine institution, founded in 1985; the registered office is at 8 Ion Pruncul Street, and the inpatient wards are at three other addresses in the city. The outpatient unit receives patients on weekdays until mid-afternoon; the emergency room, intensive care and the intoxication-testing office work around the clock at the main site.
Registration and outpatient treatment of alcohol, drug and other substance dependence take place here — voluntary, on request and anonymous — along with a day ward, consultations with an addiction psychiatrist and psychologist, while the addiction board issues clearance certificates for driving school, licence renewal, firearms and special-regime employment. The institution also has a rehabilitation centre opened in 2007. Patients come with a referral or directly, without an appointment; treatment is under CNAM insurance, certificates are paid, by card or cash.
Opinions split by reason for the visit: those coming for the driving certificate describe a quick procedure of a few minutes and polite staff; complaints concern unanswered phones and waiting.
