Land in Chisinau tops €100,000 per 100 m² as sales fall 30.8%
In central Chisinau and in locations suited to apartment blocks, 100 m² of land (one “ar”) now costs more than €100,000. With prices this high, plot sales fell in the first half of 2026, according to an analysis by Victor Cernomorcenco of Acces Imobil.
In H1, 1,659 plots were sold, compared with 2,396 a year earlier — down 30.8%. The most sought-after plots have utilities and a total price of up to €50,000. Bank loans financed 40.3% of purchases. Buyers are moving away from pricier suburbs (Codru, Durlești, Ialoveni, Stăuceni) to villages further out, such as Suruceni, Cojușna, Budești and Mileștii Mici. Even so, the market remains more than twice its pre-pandemic size.
