International organizations in Centru
The World Bank Group is an international financial institution that provides funding and expertise to developing countries. Its Chișinău office runs the Bank's programme in Moldova: loans and grants for economic reforms, infrastructure, energy, education, health, social protection and agriculture, as well as economic analysis of the country. The group also includes the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which works with the private sector.
This office does not lend to individuals or single businesses. Residents benefit from projects through the public institutions that implement them, such as school renovations or programmes for farmers. The office is useful for journalists, researchers and students, companies following tenders under Bank-financed projects, and anyone looking for reports and economic data.
The office is at 20/1 Strada Alexandru Pușkin in the Centru sector. Contact: phone +373 22 262 262, email [email protected], website worldbank.org/en/country/moldova and the World Bank Moldova Facebook page.
